Psychiatry rooted in relationship

My work is grounded in my belief that when we understand the patterns underlying symptoms we can make real changes. Our relational histories, patterns of thinking and early experiences all influence how we live today.

I offer unhurried, intentional care that brings medication management and psychotherapy together in one relationship with the goal of genuine understanding rather than quick fixes.

Dr. Lauren Manning

Lauren Manning, MD

I'm a psychiatrist practicing in Seal Harbor on Mount Desert Island. I'm board-certified in general and child and adolescent psychiatry, and I work with individuals, families, and people who want to do concentrated work through my intensive program.

My approach is relational and insight-oriented. I believe the therapeutic relationship is itself part of what heals.
