FOR CLINICIANS

For psychiatrists, therapists and referring clinicians

If you work with patients who might benefit from the kind of care I offer, I'd welcome the chance to connect. This page gives you a clearer sense of my practice, who tends to be a good fit, and how to reach out about a potential referral.

Who I work well with

The patients who tend to do best in my practice are those ready to engage in an ongoing therapeutic relationship alongside medication management. They're curious about themselves, open to exploring the patterns beneath their presenting concerns, and willing to sit with questions that don't resolve quickly.

I work with individuals of all ages and life stages, as well as parents and families. Clinically I see anxiety, depression, trauma and complex PTSD, OCD, life transitions, identity concerns, complicated psychiatric histories, and parenting stress and disconnection.

My approach is psychodynamic and trauma-informed. I offer therapy, medication management, or both, integrated around each patient's particular history and goals. My practice is not the right fit for patients seeking medication management without a therapeutic relationship, or for those needing structured behavioral or skills-based work as their primary modality.

Referring for an individualized therapy intensive

I offer four-day individualized therapy intensives on Mount Desert Island for adults ready to do concentrated, in-depth psychological work. These are particularly well suited for patients who:

  • Are navigating a significant stuck point, transition, or unprocessed history

  • Have geographic or scheduling constraints that make weekly therapy difficult

  • Are motivated and stable enough to engage in sustained reflective work

Referrals from a patient's home therapist or psychiatrist are especially valuable for the intensive format. Knowing that a trusted clinician believes the timing and format is right, and that there is ongoing support at home, is meaningful both clinically and practically.

If you have a patient you think might be a good fit, I'd welcome a brief conversation before they apply. You're also welcome to share the intensive page directly with them at wildwellpsychiatry.com/intensives.

Getting in touch

Patients can self-refer through the interest form at wildwellpsychiatry.com/getting-started. If you'd like to speak with me directly about a potential referral, please reach out by phone or email. I'm happy to do a brief consultation call to discuss fit or think through whether my practice is the right match for your patient.
